If you’ve spent any time around Heather Allred Photography (HAP), you know I’m usually much more comfortable behind the lens than I am talking about myself. My favorite thing in the world is capturing that perfect, "magazine-cover" moment for my Perry Hall seniors.
However, looking back at the journey of this business, I realized I haven't shared much about the national recognition our local Maryland sessions have received over the years. I’m incredibly humbled to look back at some milestones that shaped the way I shoot today.
A Legacy of Quality: The Hot 100
In the world of senior photography, the Senior Style Guide Hot 100 is a huge deal. Thousands of photographers from across the globe submit their best work to be judged by the industry's leading experts. It’s an intense competition, which makes these honors so special:
2017: I was named a Hot 100 Winner with Icon Status.
2019: I was once again named a Hot 100 Winner.
While these awards were a few years back, they represent a standard of consistency that I bring to every single session in 2026. Being recognized multiple times on a national level—including that "Icon" distinction—was a reminder that the creative sessions we’re building right here in Baltimore County can stand toe-to-toe with the best in the nation.
Maryland Style on the National Stage
It has been such a joy to see our local seniors featured repeatedly in national publications. Whether it’s an edgy urban shoot in downtown Baltimore or a classic, sun-soaked portrait right here in Perry Hall, these features celebrate the incredible personality of the students I’m lucky enough to work with.
You can browse some of those featured sessions here:
I was also deeply honored to be recognized closer to home as one of the Faces of Baltimore in Baltimore Magazine. Representing the creative community of Perry Hall is something I take great pride in.
What This Means for Your Senior Portraits
I don't share these "throwback" wins just to dust off the trophy shelf! I share them because they reflect the level of dedication I bring to your gallery. While I’ve been fortunate to be one of the most decorated photographers in the Perry Hall area, my focus is always on using that experience to make you look and feel your best.
When you book a session with HAP, you’re getting:
Proven Consistency: An eye for lighting and posing that has been vetted by national experts over multiple years.
Editorial Quality: I bring that "Icon" energy to every shoot, ensuring your photos look like they belong in a magazine, whether they end up in a national feature or on your living room wall.
Local Roots: I’ve spent years scouting the most beautiful, hidden locations around Perry Hall, Kingsville, and Baltimore to make sure your session is one-of-a-kind.
Let’s Create Your Iconic Moment
Whether you’re a student at Perry Hall High, Honeygo, or any of our surrounding schools, you deserve a senior portrait experience that feels special. My goal is to make sure your personality shines brighter than any award ever could.
